Just to report that this morning's Beta 7.6.1 r32969 has brought all of the missing artwork back on my system with Clear Library and Rescan Everything.
No other changes were needed and as far as I can tell, everything is back to normal on Squeezebox Server under Windows XP Pro using Squeezebox Touch.
