A true "reset" will always require to set up networking again. Simple Standby (off from touch screen or IR remote) or unplugging Touch should not result in networking setup again. I unplug my Touch all the time, reconnects to my WiFi without issue.
Did you actually update the Touch or simply dismiss the update? Are you running a local SBS server? If yes, what version?
