Welcome. The forums' search feature is your friend. Search on "DNS-321" and you'll turn up a few hits. This one in particular is not encouraging: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73531 , especially taking into account that raven22 is one of the more knowledgeable users around here when it comes to getting LMS running on D-Link NASs.
In addition, transcoding of Apple lossless doesn't work on the Touch, so it has to be transcoded on the server. That would put additional strain on the DNS-321 that it probably can't handle. In my opinion you would be better off using an inexpensive, low-power pc as a music server.
