Thank you both for your replies. I'm not sure where I'll go with this, but I'm leaning toward a DAC. The Transporter can be purchased for $999 which is not the $600 that Garym suggested as a preferred price. The Rega DAC is one that rgro likes according to many posts I've read. The price is a bit more that I'd like to spend but if it is truly exceptional perhaps I could be persuaded. It's not offered at Amazon and I'd like to have a trial run with whatever DAC I decide on. So, again, thank you for your advice.
