The swipe is specifically turned off in the initial setup section. There is code in there that turns off all the "normal" over-ride methods and specifically turns on the "press and hold in the left corner". Everywhere else the swipe works, but not in the initial setup. I tried it with my brand new out of the box Touch and the swipe does not work in the initial setup, but the left corner hold does.
