^^^^^ That's a very good point. Normal LMS settings will suppress artists in the artist list if they only appear on a compilation. So if you have one Bob Dylan album and it happens to have an incorrect COMPILATION=1 tag, it will keep the artist from being displayed. Use the Extended Tags dialog (Alt-T) to view all tag fields (which may not all be shown either in the Tag Panel or file view within Mp3tag).
Also, LMS will automatically treat any album that has more than one artist on different tracks as a compilation. If just one track on that album has either a different artist or a second artist, the album would be treated as a compilation and none of the artists will appear in the list unless they also have a full album in your library. Note that you could even have 'Bob Dylan' misspelled on a single track and it will look to LMS like a second artist on the album.
