Thank you for you comments Mnyb. Trust me, I am not into the game of flac versus wav kind of thing.
I do room equalization, and it works better when the I make the convolution of my room response with the music file being reproduced in 192Khz. All this process is done in the "wav" domain, so as you rightly put it .... I would need and extra step to compress the file in flac before streaming it to the Touch. On a different topic, there is whether the Touch has better SQ playing flacs or wavs (raw). I took some measures from my DAC and it seems that in my configuration the output is slightly better when the Touch plays raw material as opposed to flac.
