An SBT with EDO can handled DoP in FLAC files quite well over both S/PDIF coax and USB, AS LONG as your Dac supports DoP! Since the FLAC file is a carrier, make sure you don't do anything that will change the bits in any way. In particular set the volume to 100%, turn of replay gain and turn off fade in fade out.
