I'm not sure which compression was used. When I make my own flacs (in my next test) I'll try a low number.
In any case, most of my 24/96 vinyl rips sound much better than my CD counterparts, so the TinySBS is doing something right. :) I still haven't gotten around to down converting the rips to 24/48 or 16/44, to see, yet again, if there is any sonic difference.
