As I mentioned a while ago, I've been using EDO (standard kernel) and the Touch to drive my USB headphones. This works well, except it occasionally cuts out briefly, or stops all together.
The headphones are stated as only supporting 24/48000 (PCM) on USB, so I have set LMS to only send uncompressed flacs to that spec (using c-3po) over ethernet. I am driving the headphones directly. If I use my USB hub, the sound is distorted in a peculiar way, which seems very strange, I expected it to help. I've tried bigger buffers and so on, to no avail. In the past I tried other EDO kernels but there was either no difference or they didn't work at all. I used to use my laptop to drive the headphones via USB, and I had no problems at all with that, but I'd prefer to use the Touch provided I can get it to be more stable. Is there anything anyone can think of that I should try in EDO (or LMS)? Are there any diagnostics I could look for or the Touch or LMS?
