Actually, some FLAC files CAN cause a Squeezebox to choke. With my Transporter, a number of commercially-purchased FLACs will not play on it. Re-encoding them through DB Poweramp, with a default FLAC compression rate of "5", solves the problem, every time. All of the affected files were purchased from HD Tracks. And they only choke the Transporter; never the Touches we also have all over the house. Looking more deeply at the metadata on the affected files, I believe the compression rate that HD Tracks sometimes uses is something the Transporter has an issue with. You may be having a similar issue with your ChannelClassics file. I would try re-encoding it as above. If you are running a coaxial digital cable, you are good to go for the higher sampling rates. I find that wireless streaming of 24/96 or higher is very router dependent, but generally doable with more upstream models. What you never want to do is have your server machine connected to other than wired ethernet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sgmlaw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13995 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109917 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
