I had very similar symptoms, with a touch, a Netgear Orbi, with
disconnects every day or two.    I tried a cheaper version of the new
adaptor approach here:

It hooked up well (but read the directions carefully).   But that still
dropped that evening.  The effor from the touch indicated that the
problem was obtaining a Dynamic address, so I changed to a static
address on the router, and for 3 days+, it has been stable.  Of course,
YMMV.

Thanks for all the useful discussion on tis issue.  I am still quite
fond of my touch.
