In response to Walaa Marshoud's query, I would like to point out that as a
satisfied user over several years, I have noticed considerable variations
in queueing delays. The delay of course depends on the cell, and the
amount of traffic at the time, and can vary from one or two minutes to
several hours in some cases. I personally don't consider such delays to
be a malfunction; but merely a consequence of the available resources.
Since tpc.int is a free service to the user, and in many cases the cell
operator is having to pay out to his local telecom for each fax call, I am
quite happy to live within the limitations of the available resources. Of
course if I were paying for the service, I would expect the operator to
dimension his equipment to ensure fast delivery. For very urgent messages,
we always have the option of using one of the paid services or dialling the
fax directly!
Perhaps Walaa would like to tell us on which particular cells at at what
time of day he has been experiencing delays, so that the relevant cell
operators have a chance to respond.
