I expect that the stream-based extractors of streamanalyzer will perform
a lot better on most of those video formats. As they can read chunks
from a stream rather than use a library like GStreamer to load a big
pipeline and the movie itself into it.

For some multi-media formats we need to read the entire thing to get an
accurate playtime time estimation. At least read several frames.

Note that streamanalyzer's integration has been merged with the vstore
branch since yesterday. I have set the required version for
streamanalyzer to 9.9.9 because streamanalyzer is not ported to Nepomuk
yet.

However ... 

Take a look at this stuff: git://github.com/Phreedom/strigi-nepomuk.git

They are also trying to work together with us on having the same
conventions for URNs and anonymous URIs, so that it wont matter whether
our own extractors or StreamAnalyzer's Analyzers return us the Nepomuk
ontology based metadata back.

I have been testing with tracker-topanalyzer.cpp and it has been working
fine, except for yetunported ontology parts of StreamAnalyzer of course.
