Charlie, You didn't mention what commercial radio you had, but several radios use the speaker audio for audio in to the OT2. Usually there is a phono style speaker jack on the back of the radio for that 1/8" plug. But then, a Motorola radio has a special interface connector jack on the back of the radio that would require wiring up the appropriate plug. A Motorola service shop or rental shop would have the connector kit for that radio.
