Looks OK so far. > I went in and set the profile switching. Set it on speed only, less > than or equal to 5. Set to switch back when speed is greater than > 8 mph. We will see how it works now. I thought earlier you said that you weren't using profile switching. Maybe I'm thinking of a post from someone else. For anyone using profile switching, use settings that provide some hysteresis ... e.g. if it's a balloon doing profile switching based on altitude, have it go to profile 2 e.g. > 10,000 feet and back to profile 1 < 9,000 feet. If both were set to 10,000 feet, it could do a lot of toggling when it was at that altitude. Another example would be doing profile switching based on speed with both settings at the same speed. However, I would have to really think to come up with a reason for doing profile switching based on speed instead of using SmartBeaconing. Of course, having said that, you could use a human symbol < 5 mph and a car symbol > 10 mph if it was in a tracker that was going to see dual use. Just don't do any jogging! > Nope, got worse, transmitting more when I did the profile switch. > turned it off, turned off SmartBeacon, set to transmit at 600 and it is > still going off like crazy. Can't seem to slow it down for some reason. Would you care to post your configuration file in the files area? If RF was getting into a tracker and re-setting it, it could lead to it beaconing more often than it should but other than a problem like that or one related to the supply voltage, the solution should be in the settings used. 73 es cul - Keith VE7GDH -- "I may be lost, but I know exactly where I am!"
