No. The Sevice Facility location might not contain the actual business address for the rendering provider based upon the description in the IG.
We looked at the LU - Location Number option and felt it would be to burdensome to ask the providers to keep track of this unique number when submitting a claim to the specific payer. So, we ruled that out. Unless the 'HIPAA gods' can add back in the use of the N3 and N4 segments to all the different provider segments, we are out of luck and will have to look for an alternative solution that will not violate the HIPAA rules. ...Diane -----Original Message----- From: Kepa Zubeldia [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, June 12, 2002 8:18 PM To: Tom Drinkard; Diane Stapleton; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: Faye Pecille Subject: Re: 837 Professional...Rendering provider address/location Are you talking about the Service Facility Location?
