Now that the final ruling of May 31st identified the National Employer Identifier as the EIN as assigned by the IRS - how should it be coded on the ENT03 in 2000A of the 820? In the IG there appears to be a note implying that a code value of "65" would be used for the National Employer Identification - but 65 is not yet part of the value list within X12 for element reference 66. There are other similar notations as well such as on the N103 in Loop 1000B - in that case should we be continue to use 24?
