     Are they _still_ using the Nuppelvideo file format?  If so, they ought
to be dragged out into the street and shot...

     Some people here seem to have had fairly good experience with V4L.
Personally, I'd suggest picking up a hardware analogue-digital converter
to import the video as DV--that will take care of A/V sync problems as
