Hi,

i have a set of 4:3 and 16:9 DV files recorded with a cheap camcorder. I
want to process the data using "kino" to finally generate a DVD.

I want to convert the 16:9 files to 4:3 with add borders, but all my
attempts failed.

Export to dv leads to Segmentation fault, so i added '--dv_yuy2_mode' as
recommended in many posts. But that leads to false colors and strange
visual effects in the generated DV. Here's what i tried:

$ transcode -i 2007_04001.dv -Z720x576 -Y -68,0,-66,0 --export_asr 2 -y
dvraw -o out.dv --dv_yuy2_mode

The 16:9 parts have the following format:
| [tcprobe] Digital Video (PAL)
| [tcprobe] summary for 2007_04001.dv, (*) = not default, 0 = not
detected
| import frame size: -g 720x576 [720x576]
| aspect ratio: 16:9 (*)
| frame rate: -f 25.000 [25.000] frc=3
| audio track: -a 0 [0] -e 48000,16,2 [48000,16,2] -n 0x1 [0x2000]
(*)
| bitrate=1536 kbps

The 4:3 parts:
| [tcprobe] Digital Video (PAL)
| [tcprobe] summary for 2007_04003.dv, (*) = not default, 0 = not
detected
| import frame size: -g 720x576 [720x576]
| aspect ratio: 4:3 (*)
| frame rate: -f 25.000 [25.000] frc=3
| audio track: -a 0 [0] -e 48000,16,2 [48000,16,2] -n 0x1 [0x2000]
(*)
| bitrate=1536 kbps

Your help is really appreciated!

Kind regards,
Henning
