Hi Lucien,

If the task is straight extraction of DVD subtitles, you should also check out ccextractor, which has seen a lot of improvements recently.

This is unlikely to be transcode's strong suit.

Hi Lucien,

Could you give us more explanations about your distribution, installed method of Transcode, the output with Transcode and Mediainfo (plain text), the complete command and the output ?
Like this we could see perhaps more clear.
Thanks.

    Hello Everybody,

I'm trying to extract a video with subtitles from a DVD using extsub
filter (-J extsub=0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1:3). The result is almost fine,
    but the
filter overlays a semi transparent background over the complete frame
when a subtitles is displayed. I have also tried other settings
especially colour combinations, but the result is even worst.

    Any ideas welcome.

    Lucien Weller
