Your cellular account info, like your own phone number and anything
else your carrier programmed into it.  And, if you use it, a phone
book.  Non "smartphones" use that as their phone book.  It's one of the
advantages of GSM over CDMA, you don't need to jump through hoops to
transfer your settings from phone to phone, just move the card.

The SIM Book is the GSM default phone book, compatible with any GSM
phone.  The "main" listing is the Palm address book.  The Treo can read
and write to both, but you have to specifically tell it to write to the
SIM Book.  I used it as sort-of a backup, I've copied some of my phone
entries to it in case I ever do get a cheap second phone.  If that is
not a concern, then you can ignore it and configure the Contacts to
also ignore the SIM Book.
