Subject: Travailing Verses

Guys giving birth entails a lot of pain, the bible says in Revelations 12:2 in
the New International Version

“2She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.”NIV

We are born in the spirit (Born again), as we read in John that indeed we must
be born of the Spirit to be in the kingdom of God . For many of us, we stop at
that first level without realizing that for any progress to be made in the
realm of the spirit as Christians, we must go through another cycle of labor
that precedes the birth process to advance us to a new level.

It sounds complicated but all it means is to birth something in the spirit is
as painful as natural birth. Naturally it would be easier to stay in our
comfort zones because everyone hates pain and sacrifice. Just remember that
though child delivery is as painful as adversity there is the joy to crown the
efforts of a woman in travail when the hard earned baby arrives.

John 16v21says:

“21A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when
her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is
born into the world.” NIV

And in Hebrews 12:2 in the New Living Translation it says:

” 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and
perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross,
disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s
throne.” NLT

For Jesus to accepted his fate to die on the cross, he had to experience the
inevitable travails of spiritual birth. He had to sweat , groan, and moan like
a woman in labor at the Garden of Gethsemane to the point of sweating blood.
Therefore we need to wrestle for the joy that awaits us. We need to PRAY that
our hearts don’t fail out of fear on the day of battle. That we are not found
weak with no strength in us, but know that we have spiritual abilities and
grace from God that will help us push and press through in prayer until we
experience the reality that we are pregnant with.

Enjoy your weekend Saints
