Thanks Chamu for our fabulous Vibe Communique that constantly keeps us posted! This weekend was just deep, Pastor Tommy preached a message today on knowing the season that we are in as Chamu wrote. For me the aha was when he took us through the cycle in
Romans 5:3-5 "Not only that we not only glory in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perserverance and perseverance character; and character, hope. Now hope does not dissapoint, because the love of God has been poured abroad our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given us. I have never really seen that in relation to the seasons in our lives that as you are faithful to allow God to do His work in the season you are in and you go for tribulation to perserverance soon it will produce character in you. Pastor Tommy said at the point that you are getting character ingrained in you, you can be sure that you are close to hope and when you get there you will not be disappointed. I was really touched by that word. As Simba said this is our week to fast and pray! Guys Saturday was just off the chain. Let me share some of the points that Pastor Lync shared with us that really got me thinking. - You cannot deal with a level 3 demon whilst you are operating at level 1 spirituality. - The response given to any spirit creates an atmosphere, an atmosphere that is sustained creates a climate. A climate that is sustained creates a stronghold. Finally a stronghold that has been around for long enough creates a culture. - As we continue to yield to the Holy Spirit through worship we begin to create the culture of the Cross. CROSS CULTURE. - Everything that the enemy is fighting is to stop you from entering into a moment. Pastor Lync commanded us to fast and pray this week everyday from tomorrow from 6am - 6pm. He gave us an example of electricity cables that are insulated. He said that is a picture of what we are. We have so much power on the inside of us, its only that it is covered by the flesh. Fasting removes the insulators so that we can be people who are walking with the raw uninsulated power of God! Join us as we pray and seek God in fasting and prayer. I encourage you to look through the word this week and find out what happened in Gods word as people fasted and sought God. He is the same yesterday today and forever!
