For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof, but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.' 1John2:15-17 such clear ans straight forward instruction to we get in this scripture and the simple step to do is to do the will of God. The world we live in is very tempting and the more we overcome the temptations of the world, the more he will let us abide in his abundance.
