sheesh this is some heavy stuff!
Simba we are putting our faith and our knowing together with you. Sometimes
you move beyond the level of believing to a level where you just KNOW how
things are going to pan out. So we KNOW that we will all be blessed by your
multi-billion dollar INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT INSTITUTION! You gotta believe
it! God is already at work wittingly, He is positioning you to walk in
greatness.
Miss Vimbai, Wow! Ndinozvidawo! The amusing thing about our God is
sometimes He just won`t do somethings until we make a demand like Pastor
Linc has taught us. Like Elisha said these guys in the Word just refused to
make excuses for God. They just believed that God is fully capable of doing
some of these things. To them it didn`t matter whether it meant calling
fire down from heaven like Elijah 1 Kings 18:24-38, or stopping the sun
(guys can you imagine stepping out and telling the sun to stop till you are
finished with what you are doing!) Joshua 10:12, and many other references.
But the word lets us know that in the new dispensation where we are
operating right now the power flows naturally! We don`t have to sweat for
it. Because the Holy Spirit has now come according to Acts 1 ("and you
shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you"). I`d like to
remind you that He has come! We have examples of how we are supposed to be
operating now. The Word says Peter would take a walk down the street and
his SHADOW would release healing virtue Acts 5:15. The Bible says Paul
didn`t have the time to minister to everybody so he simply laid his hands on
handkerchiefs and the handkerchiefs did the work Acts 19, The Word says that
Peter as he was just speaking the Holy Ghost fell on all those who were
present in Acts 10.
You know the correct rendition of Acts is not Acts of the Apostles but Acts
of the Holy Spirit. As we fellowship with Him these things ought to happen
in our own lives. Words of wisdom, words of knowledge, power, miracles,
interpretation of tongues, serious discernment. We should be walking in all
these things. The word lets us know that we are not ordinary. Paul would
rebuke the Church and say you are now behaving like mere men. If you
thought you were just ordinary, I want to tell you that it is a lie!
But how do we begin to live an extraordinary life (the Bible says we are
partakers of the divine nature!). How does this happen though? How can you
begin to live a life that is colourful, full of the presence of God? I wish
I had time and I would share modern day examples as well. (Remember Pastor
Tom shared on Sunday evening that it is now time to begin to begin to
imitate those who have walked in a greater measure of the annointing and the
fullness of Christ). But how does this happen? The key is in what Vimbai
shared with us. *We must show God our desire for Him (Psalm 42, David
basically said God I`m desperate for You my soul longs for You), we must
seek Him, the Word says if we seek Him we will find Him! Inini
ndinizvidawo! How do you seek God, IN THE WORD, IN PRAYER, IN WORSHIP, BY
BEING A PART OF IT WHEN BELIEVERS MEET!*
I`ve personally made up my mind to not pay attention to Elkanah`s who are
okay with the status quo and like Hannah if it means getting to a point in
prayer were you seem drunk its okay! Because thats the pattern that God has
shown us in the word, WE MUST GO AFTER HIM FIRST, then He releases the
Glory! This is not Christianese, this is Bible, this is truth. Vimbai said
we can be greater than we are. Hakusi kunyepa, but you must determine in
your heart that it is God you are going to go after! That whatever He has
promised you in His word you can actually enjoy and walk in. If you have 6
friends who read 5 verses of the Bible every day, do not be satisfied with
that, its your responsibility to push yourself and start reading a Chapter,
then 4, then 6, then 10 keep going don`t allow yourself to miss out on what
God has for you because you will not engage God.
The Bible says when you read the word its like looking into a mirror. Your
life and what the word says must be twin images.
If it means sleeping earlier so you can get up and pray do it! If it means
taking 10 minutes off your lunch time to delve into His word, do it! Your
ordinariness and lack of power will never be celebrated! But you can begin
to tap into who you really are as you interact with the One who created the
real you. THERE IS A YOU IN YOU. Get to know who you really are as you go
after God!
Wow! I`m so excited!! If google group is this powerful, tell me what will
happen when we meet tomorrow as Clans? I wonder? And the truth of the
matter is I am blessed. I feel like I am living in the Acts of the Holy
Spirit! The Word says during that time, the Believers had an obsession with
the Word of God and prayer! They could go on and on and the Hand of the
Lord was upon them!
