very true

personally I have often found my self falling into the trap if fear
and religiousness, were instead of rebuking a brethren out of love i
find my self being more worried about how they will take it, how they
will feel, are they not going to feel ashamed/ embarassed or are we
going to continue being friends after this rebuke.

Pst Imelda Tsumba once taught me that "its not what we say to people
that matters, but its how we say it that does" This has changed my
perspective and approach to life with regard to open rebuke. This
means i can say "anything to anyone" in the (right way). By
exeperience i have learnt that it is very true some brethren have said
rebukes that i did not take lightly at the time, because in some of
instances i will doing the thing i am being rebuked for not realising
it was wrong, but after the rebuke i then start to see the error and i
end up much closer to that person more than i was before they spoke to
me.

I have had to rebuke also and in some cases the person is
uncomfortable to be around me for a season but once they realise the
rebuke was out of genuine love they then come back and they actually
become much closer.
