Since Vmware Server has become free as in beer, I have been a user and fascinated with virtualization.
What is the simplest way to import a physical disk into a vmware virtual machine? I don't see any software programs out there that does this easily. According to Vmware Importer page: "Create VMware virtual machines from third-party system images such as Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery (formerly known as Livestate) and Microsoft Virtual Server." So maybe using a Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery? Or is there an easier way. I would like to import 2 installs, one is my XP Home laptop and the other is a Slackware Linux box. Anyone out there with experience in this realm?
