The so-called "Update Manager" should inform you of a new Trisquel 6.0  
version and propose you to upgrade by clicking on a button. To force it, you  
can execute this command:
$ sudo update-manager --dist-upgrade
To do the upgrade from within a terminal, execute this command:
$ sudo do-release-upgrade
