You are right. In that situation, it probably works.
However the 'autoremove' command is "dangerous". Especially for users that remove software from the default system (what removes the "trisquel" and/or the "trisquel-recommended" packages) or more generally for users that want a metapackage minus something. See, for instance, this post.
