Have not got any luck with Trisquel Mini either. I tried to install it in  
text mode. Here is what I got:

Loading casper/vmlinuz...
Could not find ramdisk image: casper initrd/netist
Any tips?

Tried NetInstall too, but my system did not see the USB stick.

The last option is to install Ubuntu and then install Trisquel over it, but  
it seems too cumbersome.
