I haven't stated anywhere that the client is free software. Like Steam, you  
need to use proprietary software to legally obtain the game data, which then  
can be used in freedom. It's a one-time usage scenario. If you're not okey  
with that. I'm pretty sure you can ask a friend to get the game for you.
