[Trisquel-users] Is anyone else getting a CPU spikes when you edit anything in Gedit?

As seen in this screenshot, Gedit eats my whole CPU on my Libreboot X60  
whenever I try to edit anything with it. I can look at a file just fine but  
if I start adding or deleting any characters the CPU gets eaten and the  
cursor is no longer visible on when it's over the Gedit window.

Is anyone else with this same machine having this problem? What is causing it  
and how to I fix it?
