I don't know Francis but I know what he's been working on and what he's  
accomplished. And what he's accomplished is much much more important that  
what Chris (with all due respect) has done so far. I think Francis' work is  
the most important work being done right now. We have plenty of excellent  
free software but no libre computer (no one single PC AFAIK that runs without  
any non-free firmware) and freeing those laptops (although not completely) is  
the best one can do IMHO.
I know from experience that when one is mad with someone he/she tends to  
say/write a lot of moronic /read aggressive stuff (see the chapter me versus  
the troll CooloutAC..). Some people are more prone to anger and nervousness  
and that is why they bark when feeling threatened (or when they feel their  
business is threatened).
That being said and as I already said the current price of the X200 and the  
T400 is ridiculously overly high. No doubt about it. I understand Francis is  
going through some major expenses freeing boards and whatnot but that is not  
my concern as a potential customer - if I go to buy 1l of milk I expect the  
price to go anywhere around 1 euro and if I see the price suddenly changed to  
2 euros I will not like it and when asked the owner of the store why the  
price changed so much and given the answer that he needed to compensate for  
the expenses of some new production line I will not accept its explanation  
and will go to buy my milk elsewhere. All this bla bla has one point, to sum  
it up: I (generic I) as a customer don't give a fuck about Francis's  
expenses, I want to buy a product and I want to buy it for a reasonable  
price. If the price is unreasonable I will not buy it. The price of those  
laptops is extremely unreasonable..
