I don't think that it is actually possible to buy a computer 'free' BIOS  
while the AMT is still present, because projects such as Coreboot (which  
Libreboot is based on) still are required to use the Active Management  
Technology binary 'blob'. This of course means that Intel could still be  
doing things we don't know about.
