In that other thread, it is said that Abrowser's version in Trisquel 7 is
outdated.
But according to this, it isn't a problem regarding support
(https://trisquel.info/fr/forum/icecat-default-browser#comment-3375).

It will ship with whatever version is the official upstream, to have the
same
level of support. Stability and security are more important than
modernity.
So what's the deal? With two people saying the opposite, and me not being
knowledgeable enough, what do you all think? And Why?
