Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I am using Abrowser now  
instead of Midori. I deactivated the Gnash and lightspark plugins and now  
most of the sites that I thought only offered flash videos are playing in  
some other format (html5 I suppose). I'll also keep in mind your suggestions  
for scripts and other methods.
