Being really important the language documentation and support.
Thunderbird/Icedove has a lot of help in many languages.Not everyone speaks english, and even people who understand it a little don't always like to read it to solve a problem as they found it difficult.
I haven't use clawmail, but looking through documentation doesn't seem to have another language.
