try

 $ sudo apt-get && sudo apt-get upgrade
Unless you already issued that command (on the other topic)
try

 $ sudo apt-get clean
 $  sudo apt-get -f install

or check in you

/var/log/apt/term.log

Find the "broken" packages and remove them with sudo apt-get remove or as  
sugested Magic Banana (reinstall after) with your Synaptic Package Manager.
