The latest version of IE that can run on Windows Vista is version 9. That  
version was released in 2011, when HTML5 was in its infancy. Vista itself was  
released when YouTube itself (using the old Flash video player) was new. So  
yeah, the fact that it even works with YouTube's HTML+JavaScript player at  
all is kind of miraculous.
