I was able to install PlayOnLinux using the guide on their own website for the Ubuntu Trusty version.
However, when I was using the program (PlayOnLinux that is) and was trying to install a program that was not one of their "listed programs", it didn't work.
The manual installing wizard got me all the way up to choosing between 32 and 64 bit, but after that I got an error message which I attached a screenshot of.
