Unfortunately, no.  Trisquel 8 was not helpful.  7 is compatible with my  
computer system.  I am ruing the fact that I accepted the suggestion from  
Trisquel to upgrade yesterday.  I really do not want to go through the hassle  
of wiping and reinstalling my solid state harddrive now.  But, without help,  
that will be my only option.
