Sorry, I missed that. @OP What did you use in Ubuntu MATE? Were you using Ubuntu MATE 16.04 or 18.04? Is it specifically Trisquel 8's version of xcalib that has the bug? If so, let me know what the bug is and I'll try to find and backport the patch that fixes it.
