After several library upgrades, I have TRPlayer 2.0b1
working on my dedicated computer. I like it, and thank
Matthew for the effort. I have some suggestions:
1> It would be really nice to press "h" or "?" and get a list
of valid keystrokes (given the current context - live
stream or playback).
2> Add "mute" in addition to "pause". Mute would keep a live
connection streaming, allowing for an instant restart. After
2 minutes, mute would revert to pause. Or perhaps, make
this the default behavior for pause.
3> Rather than adding bookmarks, or other features to TRPlayer,
how about enhancing the ability to use TRPlayer with other
programs? Then you could write (for example) a matching
bookmarker, or integrate even better with existing bookmark
schemes.
And some observations:
1> When playing back a recorded stream from the web (such
as Matthew's welcome) the forward and back keys don't
always work. Instead they beep (rather loudly). What's
up?
2> "Compact output" does not seem to have any effect.
