mmmh, that was the IMHO for :) i'm not used to .au files header and i just believe you now that you're right, as well. I just can't imagine that someone broadcasts in cd-quality (one hour = 600MB = 16bit/44khz = cd-quality). as i understood vsound, it just takes the stream, which would go to the soundcard and that's IMHO not the same bitrate as the one which comes from the broadcast stream. But anyway, dave has certainly more experience on this field than me. to rudy. i used vsound 0.3 for that... it0s an old script and i don't use it anymore chregu
