I am not sure if I understood You right, but coupling vsound with RealPlayer works even if there is no sound card installed. Thus I do agree that mixer settings should have no effect. But on the other hand if RealPlayer only modifies mixer settings and vsound catches the output before the mixer, why does the volume slider of the RealPlayer affect my output at all? I am a little bit confused by now, maybe I should read a thick book or manual on audio devices under Linux first. > >
