Plain text is the preferred format for this list. Plain text cannot
change the font appearance within the e-mail, and that is a
disadvantage, but there are reasons why plain text should be preferred
when coloring text is not necessary. The e-mails take less space
because they lack the formatting codes. While our list resources can
easily handle large e-mails, some users have limited resources and
complain when TruthTalk list volume causes a depletion of their
resources. Using plain text is helpful in that regard. Another reason
for plain text is that some users receive a digest version of TruthTalk.
They get one e-mail with all the posts for the last 24 hours. This
digest version combines e-mails and because of formatting issues, it
really only handles plain text. HTML e-mails or Rich Text emails come
over with all the formatting codes being shown. The readers have to
wade through that to read the post. Therefore, plain text is better for
those who receive the digest version of TruthTalk.

As an example, here is a very small clip from the digest version
yesterday from a section that contained an html e-mail.

In contrast, here is a section of the digest version from e-mail that
was sent in plain text:

-----------------------------------------
Is this Pentecostal Deliverance Theology,
you are preaching here?

Judy:
It is the teaching of scripture - all that makes sense.
You were not perfected, holy, and conformed to the image
of Christ the moment you said your prayer were you? No
you were a baby believer who was to grow in God's Word
and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Kevin:
PS 105:17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a
servant:
[18] Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: [19] Until
the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. [20] The
king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go
free. [21] He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his
substance: [22] To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his
senators wisdom.

Judy:
Yes the above describes the ministry of Joseph, what do these verses
have to do with the salvation of Kevin Deegan?

As for your e-mail getting delayed in posting to the list, it was
probably something with hotmail putting it in a que. The way e-mail is
relayed is by hotmail's mail server connecting to our e-mail server. If
it cannot get a connection for some reason, it may put the mail in a que
to try later. How frequently it tries again depends on how their e-mail
server is setup. It might try again in 30 minutes or it might try again
in 4 hours. If it fails a second attempt, the process of queing and
retrying repeats. At some point there will be a timeout where it sends
the mail back to you as undeliverable. Normally that timeout is around
5 days. Sometimes the mail server is setup to send you a notice that
your post is delayed and that the mail server will keep trying. Some
mail servers are not setup to give you that kind of warning notice.

Peace be with you.
