How have I endorsed or encouraged drinking from Roman Catholicism? You
seem to completely miss my point and I'm about giving up trying to help
you see it, not because I don't care, but because I tire of this kind of
exchange.
The Roman Catholic Church did not come into being until 600 years after
Athanasius. Athanasius stood up to the Arians and was banished from
Alexandria by the emperors (Constantine and his successors). It is very
likely that your Bible would have different books in it if it were not
for Athanasius. He took a strong stand for a doctrine about the Godhead
which you have stood up for on this list, and you become sarcastic when
someone else mentions him, just because the RCC made him a "doctor" or
something? I try to point out that it does not matter what the Roman
Catholics thought of him, and now I am encouraging you to drink from
Roman Catholicism? I give up. E-mail is a very difficult medium for
communicating. Sometimes, I just give up. I hope others can bear with
my weakness.
