It all seems so intuitive to me, John. We'll get to find out where we're wrong I suppose, but it sounds a lot like trust > and > obey.

When you are right, it is usually profoundly so  --  and when you are wrong, it is just as profound.   It is "works salvationalism" that teaches that it makes no difference why you obey, just do it anyway.   I kind of doubt that this is what you mant to say  ....... at least I sincerely hope so, but that is exactly what is sounds like you are saying.  In your paragraph of thought, you make "works" more important than the motivation.   The Bible nowhere teaches this.  Correct me if I am wrong.   JD

jt: No such thing as "works salvationism" JD. This is a construction of men.  There is only one salvation and it is for
the "overcomers".  Impossible to be one of that group when off "doing your own thing"  The Bible does teach one to
"trust and obey" so Terry is right on.....  and walking in the right kind of wisdom - that which is from above.

No such thing as works salvationism?   Of course there is.  In the Bible it is given a differnet, name but "works salvationism" it is.
