For example, when you read Galatians 5:22-23, do you really understand the meaning that the Holy Spirit means to convey to you any better now than when you first read it? Maybe you know the passage by heart now, by memory, but is the meaning meant to be conveyed to you by the Holy Spirit only unlocked after you give yourself to industrious study over years of time?
